Industrial Identification & Compliance Reference

JZAC Designs industrial identification and compliance reference.

Container / fleet / facility reference notes

We separate real standards from ordinary operational identification.

The product proof controls what JZAC manufactures. Registered codes, technical ratings, hazard information and jurisdiction-specific wording must come from the owner, qualified contractor, project documents or governing authority.

BIC / ISO 6346

Freight-container identification

BIC guidance describes the container identification number as the owner/equipment code, six-digit serial number and check digit. Identification characters are at least 100 mm (4 in) high, durable and contrasting.

BIC identification-number reference

BIC operational marks

Weight / high-cube / electrical-danger marks

BIC lists maximum-gross and tare characters at a minimum 50 mm height. High-cube height marks and overhead-electrical-danger marks apply only to applicable containers. JZAC uses owner-supplied technical data and does not replace the CSC data plate.

BIC mandatory operational marks

Operational identification

Roll-off fleet lettering

Company name, phone/website, container ID and yardage markings are sold as operational/fleet identification. Municipal requirements, franchise agreements, contracts and project rules vary. Send any required local wording and JZAC will reproduce the approved information rather than inventing a universal rule.

Facility identification

Self-storage numbering

Unit, building and row numbering is a facility-management system unless a local code, owner standard or project specification says otherwise. Customer confirms the numbering convention, character size, contrast and placement.

Operational only

Fuel & fluid wording

DIESEL FUEL ONLY, DEF ONLY, GASOLINE ONLY, HYDRAULIC OIL, ENGINE OIL and WASTE OIL cut-vinyl legends are operational identification. They do not replace DOT hazardous-material placards, OSHA/HazCom labels, GHS information, tank markings or other hazard communication required for the material or installation.

JZAC production rule

Customer data → proof → approval → cut

  • No invented BIC code, serial, check digit, weight or rating.
  • No blanket “compliant” claim for a project-specific fleet/facility ID.
  • Sample artwork is marked SAMPLE / PROOF — DO NOT INSTALL.
  • Approved proof controls wording, dimensions, color and quantity.
