Marine Signature Packages
Two questions before we quote your boat
1. Is she state-registered, or USCG documented?
2. If documented — recreational only, or is there a commercial endorsement on the certificate?
Those two answers decide what the law requires of your hull and which package applies. Documented vessels: have your Certificate of Documentation handy. State-registered boats: your registration exactly as issued. Either way, send a current hull photo.
Nothing is cut until you approve your proof.
Four complete marine builds. Each one is a finished transom, not a name you have to accessorize later.
The packages
Gold Classic — $387 kit / $595 installed. Name and hailing port in genuine 22kt gold vinyl, plus state registration numbers where the vessel carries them. The finish that belongs on a classic hull or a yacht transom. State-registered and documented-recreational vessels.
Gold Classic Commercial — $615 kit / $950 installed. The same 22kt gold work laid out to 46 CFR 67.123(a): the vessel name on the port bow, the starboard bow and the stern, plus the hailing port on the stern. Four marks, three locations, none under 4 inches. Documented vessels with a commercial endorsement.
Charter — $535 kit / $825 installed. The 67.123(a) layout above in a reflective treatment, so the marks read at dusk and under a spotlight. Built for charter, passenger, coastwise and fishery operations. Documented vessels with a commercial endorsement.
Full Transom — from $850 installed. A custom cut-vinyl transom design with name and hailing port, layout included. Hands-on-the-vessel work — Washington and North Idaho only.
One thing we will not do
We do not cut vinyl for a USCG official number. Under 46 CFR 67.121 that number must be permanently affixed to an interior structural part of the hull in block characters not less than 3 inches. Vinyl does not satisfy it, and nobody here can sign off on an exception. Your name and hailing port under 46 CFR 67.123 are exactly what we do — and that is what these packages are.
Two ways to buy
Installed — Washington and North Idaho. Dockside, in your slip, on the trailer, or at the shop.
Self-Apply Kit — ships free to all 50 states. The same job in the same films, pre-masked and taped in position, with a printed step-by-step install guide. The kit price is the shipped price, printed above — there is no percentage to calculate. Specialty and gold films add one to two days.
Paying for it
Jobs over $500 take 50% down, with the balance due on completion. $500 and under is due on completion. Ship-only kits are paid in full before production. Card, check or invoice. Free shipping on kits to all 50 states.
Before we cut
You get a to-scale layout proof to approve. Nothing goes on the machine until you say yes — and on jobs over $500, until the deposit clears.
Add-ons
Prepping the application area is included. Old vinyl removal, damaged surfaces, gelcoat work and travel outside our service area are add-ons — quoted in person at the inspection, before any work starts.
Stripping an old set and refreshing a transom is quoted the same way. Text a photo of the transom to 509-720-8239 and we will price it.
Warranty
If JZAC vinyl fails because of a defect in the material or a JZAC installation, we replace it. Self-apply customer installation workmanship is not covered, because we do not control surface preparation or application. Either way, if we cut it wrong, the film is defective, or it arrives damaged in transit, we recut and reship at our cost.
Custom product returns
Everything here is cut to your specification, so it cannot be returned for a change of mind once approved artwork has been cut. Nothing is cut until you approve your proof — if we make a mistake, we fix it.
Hull stripes are quoted per vessel. Call or text 509-720-8239, or email jzacdesigns@jzacdesigns.com.
What you are buying
- Cut to the published size, style, and contrast rule for that mark.
- Pre-spaced on transfer tape. Cast vinyl.
- The owner and the inspector own placement and final acceptance. We own the cut.
Lettering is cut to the published size, style, and contrast rule cited on this page. JZAC Designs does not issue, and has not been issued, FAA, USCG, OSHA, FMCSA, CHP, or state labor department product approval. Meeting a display rule is the operator's duty. We cut the mark. You and your inspector accept the install.
