North Dakota — N.D.A.C. 43-02-03-17
North Dakota requires covered wells and facilities to be identified by durable, legible signage. Current Department of Mineral Resources guidance lists information including the facility or well name and number, operator, current emergency phone number, file or facility number when applicable, and location information by quarter-quarter, section, township, and range.
Oklahoma — OAC 165:10-3-17
Oklahoma's current Oil & Gas Conservation rules require specified lease/well signs containing operator and 24-hour emergency contact information, well/lease identification, legal description, API number, and other information depending on the well type. Specified OTC identification placed on the lease sign or stock tank must remain clearly legible and uses letters and numbers at least 2 inches high.
